类型:qbank
Scale AI behavioral evaluation spans credo, HM, recruiter, and customer-engagement conversations. Expect standard project and teamwork questions plus sharper probes on manager relationship, self-awareness, and fit for customer-facing AI work.
Requirements
Common prompts:
Proud project.
A challenging project and why it was challenging.
Feedback you received.
A project under time pressure.
Conflict or disagreement with a manager.
A personal trait that may not be good in the workplace, and why you think you have it.
Side project.
Strengths and weaknesses.
Why Scale AI.
Why leave the current role / why not continue current day-to-day work.
What direction you want to work on next.
Customer-facing variants can ask about current manager relationship and how the manager would rate the candidate.
Recruiter screens can directly ask for project detail, including ML topics such as GRPO, rather than staying purely logistical.
Recruiter-screen framing can combine:
A concise self-introduction that includes why Scale AI is of interest.
The hardest or most exciting project in the candidate's background.
HM conversations can be entirely nontechnical: tell project stories, ask about the team's current work, and use the remaining time for mutual fit.
Notes
Prepare answers with concrete situation, action, and result. Vague enthusiasm for AI is not enough for Scale's customer-facing roles.
Manager and self-assessment questions need a calm answer. Avoid surprising negativity; frame weaknesses with scope, impact, and correction.
For project questions, align the story with the role: enterprise AI solution delivery for FDE / enterprise SWE, LLM fundamentals and model work for MLE, practical production ownership for general SWE.
Preparation
Write six STAR stories: proud project, conflict, feedback, time pressure, weakness, and customer/user impact.
Prepare a 60-second "why Scale AI" answer grounded in the target team's work rather than generic AI excitement.
Practice answering manager-rating and weakness questions without sounding defensive.
