类型:qbank
IBM intern and co-op follow-up interviews can be non-coding behavioural/resume rounds. One video-style competency screen gives one minute to prepare and three minutes to answer each question; another live interview focuses on motivation, missed deadlines, and project choices.
Requirements
Video competency format:
Five questions.
One minute preparation per question.
Three minutes to answer each question.
Example prompts:
Tell us about a time a team project went very well. What part did you play, and how did you help the team succeed?
Think of a time when preparation paid off. What were you working on?
Live co-op / SDE interview prompts:
Biggest strength.
A time you missed a deadline.
Why IBM?
Why this role?
Resume project follow-ups: why the project, how you built it, and what technologies you used.
Notes
The live format may run 40-60 minutes with two interviewers and no coding.
Resume follow-ups are usually not deep architecture probes; they focus on motivation, ownership, and whether the listed stack is real.
Preparation
Prepare four STAR stories with measurable outcomes: team success, preparation, missed deadline, and conflict or ambiguity. Keep each answer under three minutes.
For Why IBM?, connect the specific role to IBM's product/client context and your project history; avoid a generic prestige answer.
For resume deep dives, choose two projects and rehearse why you built them, your personal contribution, a trade-off you made, and one bug or failure you handled.
